| I purchased this unit as a gift for my boyfriend and he
loves it! He's taken out to map biking trails, we took it
out geocaching, we took it out xc skiing - great way to
track where you've been and how many kilometers you've gone! | |

| As a GPS, the Oregon 300 is very easy to use and has every
feature that I need. I do a lot of snowshoeing, and so far,
have been disappointed in the behaviour in cold weather (-15
C). Good quality alkaline batteries seem to last only an
hour at best and I have had the screen lockup and display
horizontal lines until the unit is warmed up. Will try
lithium batteries and keep the GPS in my inside coat pocket
to see if I can get better performance. | |
