This is a great unit. Easy to see in the daylight and the
touchscreen is very fast to navigate.

One of the main reason why I bought this unit was to
navigate/explore European cities. I could've bought an
automobile navigation GPS but as I like to go trekking I
wanted something that could do a bit of everything. So far
it has lived up to the Garmin brand and to my
expectations/needs.
Touchscreen is responsive and easy to use.
The menus are clear, well organized and very intuitive as
It's easy to switch from one map to another.
The size and weight of the unit feel good in the palm of my
hand.
When using road maps, it can take a lot of time to zoom out
since the unit is loading many POI.
ABCDE keypad... I would have preferred a good old
"landscape" oriented QWERTY keypad.
When panning the map it gets into a "mark waypoint" mode
which can be annoying.
Good preparation is essential even when using a GPS to
navigate. There are a lot of POI that come with the map but
not everything is there. This unit really allowed me to get
the most out of my trip.

The 400t would not respond to the map icon and some of the
other items on the touch screen. GPSCITY tech support was
contacted and found to be technically competent. A beta
version of the firmware was loaded but did not fix the
problem. The unit was returned to GPSCITY and anouther one
was shipped. The next unit performed as expected.
Found the automotive mode not as intuitive as other Garmin
automotive unites
