the same structure as the Etrex serie exept that it is
touchscreen and that the screen is much bigger. Aran, October 21, 2009 When I was looking at purchasing this unit, I contacted the
help line to make sure it came with the most up to date map
(V4)and was assured it would. The unit I recived is loaded
with the older V2 maps, witch I have found to be rather
inaccurate in parts of B.C. On a recent trip driving on a
paved highway that has been there since before GPS was
invented I was dissapointed to see it was not even on the
map. I wish that I had been beter informed, and would have
payed less for a unit with no maps and bought the new maps
seperatly. Bernd, October 15, 2009 Easy and intuitive when starting to use this GPS unit. Due
to lack of detailed user instructions, difficult to learn
full range of features, and difficult to get optimal use of
this handy gadget.
I plan to use the Oregon 400t, along with suitable Topo-
maps for hiking in Southwest BC, in Germany and in the
Austrian Alps.
