Used it on an ATV ride right out of the box in the Ouachita National Forest (southeast Oklahoma). Using the camera for marking waypoints is great. The installed US Topo map was a $80 to $100 add on to lesser priced models. This unit replaced an ETrex unit that was lost from a handbar mount on a trail ride. I've owned several Garmin units over the years (GPS V, GPSMAP 60CSx, Nuvi) and this one is hands-down the best. So much easier to navigate through menus, scroll and pan to locations on the screen, mark waypoints, etc. Works excellent. dog sin, March 20, 2013 Take the rechargible batterys that come with it out and put new ones in. The gps is simple to use and just awesome all around.
