gpscity.com did a great job in shipping this product in a
timely fashion and in excellent packaging. Item arrived in 2
days to my door. Price was the best I found anywhere.
I mounted an Eagle Fish Elite 480 on my Triton Tournament
Crappie boat using this mount. It's mounted on the right
side of the driving console and does an excellent job. I
suppose it is a bulky mount, but it is very well made and is
a very sturdy mount. With the two adjustments on the mount
added to the vertical adjustments on the depth finder mount,
you can easily place the depth finder just about anywhere
you want and it will STAY PUT until YOU move it.
I also used the RAM 338U RAM Mount for mounting the GPS
External Puck to the Depth Finder mount. Because of this
part, it did take a bit of creative engineering and drilling
4 holes in the Rectangular Post Plate to get it and the GPS
Puck mount and the Switch Arm Mount to mesh, but after I got
it all together it was a solid application and everything
works and looks great. This would not be needed with an
internal GPS antenna. It would be nice if RAM Mounts would
look at these items and perform a little more engineering,
but since most new GPS Depth Finders use internal antenna, I doubt this will happen. The piece that the swing arm
attaches too is a bit large and takes an area around 5" x 5"
to mount to. Again, this adds to the solid performance of
the mounting system and, after all, they are supporting
hundreds to a couple of thousand dollars of electronic
equipment so I'm personally glad they do not skimp in this
area.

The swing arm is very good but the mounting bracket is
extremely bulky and in my opinion, ugly, I made a flat
mounting plate out of stainless steel and it looks far
better. Do Ram make a flush mount bracket without provision
for post mounting that would screw to vertical surface that
is a lot less bulky?

The is an excellent bracket for mounting a fish finder on
boats with limited space on the dash board. It is very
sturdy and well built

I needed this for my big screen Lowrance fish finder. It
is a very sturdy item that was easy to mount.
Comparable to U.S. pricing.
