Shipped on September 23, 2011 Maria, April 20, 2009 I bought this mount to work with an existing ball
on my aircraft. My ball was approximately 0.7
inches in diameter this socket was for a 0.56
ball. The larger socket was too big I have one
and tried it. This one looked like a good solution
until I tightened it down -- part of the receiving
cup broke right off. I don't think this is
aluminum I think it's plastic. And while I
realize I was using it for a slightly larger ball,
I don't think it should have snapped like that on
first use.
