I bought the mount after seeing other people's recommendations about the product, It was to be used on a mountain bike seatpost to film friends following behind down the trails, the only faults i could say about the item are that the jubilee clip going around the ball mount at the bottom of the kit sticks out when tightened and might get caught by legs etc if not orientated corrrectly, the other is that the threaded stud for mounting the camera on is a blind threaded bolt, if you overtighten on it, it gets removed from the hole its threaded into, so care should be taken not to overtighten, having said all that, its a very robust piece of kit, very easy to mount and quite adjustable. worth getting

I bought this for my Gopro Hero camera and it works very
well. It allows me to mount my Hero virtually anywhere.
Thanks for a great product.

I used this as a mount for either a camera or gps (with a
Ram Garmin Nuvi 3xx cradle in place of the camera base
plate) on the handle bar of a 2009 BMW R 1200 RT. The
handle bar on this bike is not round, and somewhat
squarish...and this clamp mounting worked great.. instead of
the thin strip of rubber that came with the mount though, I
cut and double layered a bicycle inner tube to so the entire
bracket contacts rubber so as not to take a chance on
marring the handle bar. Awesome and in expense GPS mount
solution for this bike. With this assembly, the GPS ends up
dead centered on the bike above the gas tank.

I've had this mount permanently attached to the t-top
crossbar on my center console boat for two years. The boat
is stored outside in the elements and the mount still looks
new. No corrosion on any of the parts including the hose
clamp. I've had my Panasonic digital point and shoot and my
Cannon Digital Rebel SLR with zoom lens screwed to the mount
and it neither budge even in pounding rough seas. I do a lot
of solo fishing and this mount allows me to take timed
pictures of myself with the fish before I release them.
