| At last a way to mount my police scanner, and have a way to
quickly release it and take it with me. Works like a charm. | |

| Universal is sometimes synonymous with "jack of
all trades, specialist at nothing." The universal
cradle is an option for when you find no other
suitable RAM mount, but the cradle's weight and
large size makes it clumsy. More so, it is
important that whatever you place in it makes a
solid fit. The VIO P.O.V. video recorder has a
curved backside. This produces minimal grip at
best, and if you use the 12v direct-wire kit, you
can't use this cradle at all because of how the
pigtail emerges from the recorder. I found this
cradle clumsy to use on a motorcycle, and it's
weight means the longer the RAM arm, the better a
chance of it moving with every jostle...no matter
how much you tighten it down. | |
