GPS as a spare on my center console boat (hence the
Stainless U-bolt). After exploring all the features on the
ETrex, I wanted to use it on my training rides as well.
Voila, the mount fit perfectly on the handlebars, no mods
required.
With only one knob needed to adjust all angles, heights,
etc. it is super easy to set however you want the GPS
positioned. So I can angle the display to the side on the
boat if I'm not directly behind the helm, or the unit
down & out of the way when I stow the bike in the garage.
The Ram mount holds the Etrex firmly, and it's a simple
snap-in, snap-out deal.
I'll probably order a spare base, so I can keep that on both
the bike and the boat all the time now. Even without, it's
only two nuts to undo when I swap from bike to boat. Mommysoup, February 22, 2012 This mount is great! It mounted securely and easily. I love
that I can move the position of the gps unit with a twist
of a knob, so depending on how the sun is shining I don't
get a glare. My family uses this for geocaching, and
finding our way back to camp after an adventure. Thanks GPS
