It can hold many things like gps,ipod etc. My Samsung Note II will only fit if i take the large otterbox cover off though. Just won't quite open that large. Jim, April 10, 2013 Strong grip. Used w/ iPhone 5 in a case and mounted on the handle bars of a Harley Davidson. I don't think my phone would come out even in an accident. But I don't plan to test that theory. The side to side spin that some are talking about is very minimal and would only affect those w/ severe OCD.
