Having fought with the factory mount supplied with my
Garmin GPS, I couldn't be more satisfied with this mount.
The change over was simple after purchasing a set of mini
screwdrivers in order to move the 12V power connection from
the factory mount to the new mount. As advertised, this
mount will enable the user to position their GPS anywhere
the suction cup will take hold and it does hold
securely. The website videos were a big help before
purchasing.

The mount is as advertised - solid and sturdy. However, the
contacts in the Garmin part to attach the power cord to the
cradle is extremely fragile, and very difficult to
disengage from the original Garmin part without breaking.
The video makes it look like a piece of cake, but this
isn't the case. Garmin no longer makes replacement parts
for this model, so you may very well end up with a
perfectly good, but unusable mount.

I was told when i purchased the item the you " just unscrew
the 2 little screws from the old mount and screw them into
this one" As soon as I took out one screw the connections
broke and the whole system is worthless.
