This unit will hold through the roughest drive. It's solid and functional. Looks good too. Using it with a Garmin GPSMap 62s. But plugging in the external power cord is frustrating with this mount. There is no way to connect power before installing the unit in the holder. Once the GPS is mounted, it's a blind connection to get the cord in. Usually give up and let it run on its batteries.

Strong, solid, quality. Versatile & articulate. Perfect fit & finish. Ingenious compatability with GPSMAP 62sc using a slickroller/spring-tab design that locks the unit rigidly in the cradle, yet is easy to release. Have to plug in the separate Garmin universal vehicle power cable after the GPS is mounted in the cradle, but no sweat once you know the plug orientation. Very happy with the Suction Cup Mount RAM-B-166-GA41U for GPSMAP62-series & with my overall gpscity.ca experience - perfect, thanks!

good mount in the car so far, but I have not had a chance to test it in the boat. Seems to hold very strong and has not fallen at all yet. We will see how it holds up on a rough day on the water though.

I purchased this mount from GPSCity knowing I needed a robust
mount that would take the bouncing of my Jeep as I trek
through the mountains. I've purchased a RAM mount for my bike
a couple years back and to be honest I wouldn't trust my GPS
in any other mount since then.
