I just bought this item before I went on a snowmobile trip. I used the mount on my truck's windshield and on my snowmobile windshield and it held on no problem. I installed it in the morning on a cold windshield and it was shaking all day long and it stayed in place. The adjustment is great.

Much better than the original Garmin yoke mount. Suction
mount holds perfectly on plexi windshield even in the strong
vibrations of the helicopter cabin.

I have purchased it to use it in my Landcruiser Prado, where
there is inadequate space on the dash. Looks pretty good so
far, but rough testing will only be next year under offroad
conditions in the African bush. Only then we will see
whether the construction and suction cups will survice heavy
bumping, corrugated gravel roads etc.

I plow snow for the MDOT in the winter and fly fire patrol for
the Mt. DNRC in the summer. I used my Garmin 396 with suction
mount on the plow truck windshield all winter. The sometimes
rough Montana highways could not shake it off.
