Definatly recommend gpscity for all your needs! Steve, September 6, 2011 I made a 1/4" thick aluminum mount plate and used this ball
to connect the RAM mount for my GPS. I bought a 1/4 x 20
SS button screw(allen head) from a local ACE hardware store
and I did not even need to hold the ball with pliers while
I tighten the screw. It is very secure and feels solid.
