Just crank and Turn the knob until it can't be tightend
anymore. I have a Lowrance HDS 8 Depth finder mounted on
mine. Even in the largest waves,this mount will hold the

However, it fits well, is unobtrusive and VERY
stout...holding the unit secure even while traveling.
