It keeps my phone dry but fails on more levels. It does not
fit an iPhone 4S with an Otter box, in that, the phone flops
around inside, can't hear anything (music, ringing, etc.), and
can't use the touch screen easily. What I now use it for is,
keeping the phone dry and protected in the storage
compartment of my motorcycle when on long trips.

I tried this out on a motorcycle ride recently with my
smartphone, and found that the glare from the flexible
plastic cover made it almost impossible to use the phone's
map screen while underway. It would probably do better on
an overcast day and at night. The smartphone screen is not
that easy to read in sunlight even without the plastic
cover. I think I will have to stick with my weatherproof
GPS receiver for routing while on the motorcycle. I
haven't tried this case out in my car yet. I used two
cardboard rectangles as spacers to hold the phone more
securely and bring the screen closer to the flexible cover.
With the spacers in place the phone was held securely and
did not move around within the case while I was riding my
motorcycle on paved roads. The touch screen was usable
through the cover, but screen response was degraded
somewhat. The case appears to have a good seal and should
keep most rain out, but I haven't actually tried it in wet
conditions yet. I will keep this case for phone use as a
hand-held in rainy outings or possibly while kayaking.

No foam pading included and poor instructions.
It was much better with the old aqua box.
