GPS fits into cradle very well and may be usable if GPS is
not frequently removed. A lot of pressure is needed to get
GPS in the mount. Top roller holding GPS in the cradle
presses very hard on the glass screen. In my case, it
started a small fracture at the edge of the screen which
could turn into a crack. I had removed GPS several times
for security and don't know if constant pressure or
repeated stress caused the fracture.
Also noticed that ball holding the Garmin mount had been
ground down to allow the power mount to fit into the RAM
mount. I was told this was necessary since the fit was too
tight originally. Mount needs a redesign. RAM is willing to
replace the mount with a like unit but with a design flaw,
the problem would still be present.

I find it difficult to install and remove the GPS unit even
after viewing the assistance video. A little too tight to my
taste. I am always afraid to break my GPS unit. Also, should
come bundled-up with "Diamond Plate with 1 inch Ball
RAM-B-238U". It's a bad surprise to find this out when you
receive the unit.

It's just what I wanted. For me works great. Just make sure
first that you know where you want it mounted ( which I
did) as it's there for good. The sucksion cup sits on the
glued disk and holds it frimly.
