Recent reviews for this item: DD, June 18, 2013 I really like the flex arms. They stay pretty rigid unless you move them and they are pretty heavy duty construction wise. I have a 300 size sonar display on mine so I can easily see it whe I'm standing in my boat. It holds it just fine.

I used it with a Go Pro camera. I had this unit straight
and the camera on one end and attached to a motorcycle on
the other. once moving, the flex arm will start to give in
and bend. Still, for situations where the arm needs to

heavy duty it requires a support strap to hold in place.
Without a strap the camera [mount] will drag on the ground
within just a few minutes.
