Recent reviews for this item: Scott, June 17, 2009 I seriously doubt that anyone else would have done the
modifications that I did to my truck to make this bracket
fit my truck. I guess RAM assumes that everyone owns an
automatic truck, or I guess maybe they assume that only
those with automatic transmissions would put a laptop in
their truck. What I had to do is cut a large "slot" in my
cup holder / transmission shifter cover unit so this
bracket would fit. Once I was done, it didn't look too bad
at all, a nice custom fit with the RAM bracket now
protruding into the plastic unit quite a bit. I don't mind
customizing my truck a little like that, getting creative
with a sawzall and dremmel, but I doubt most people with a
standard trans would have been ok with it. Other than that,
it seemed to be fine.
