The bulk of it is simple to remove if you're not using it.
It was very intuitive to install and not difficult,
although the instructions are far from complete. Once I
stopped trying to understand the instructions and just put

managed to assemble from sometimes vague assembly
instructions. Wondered how long the spring on the holding
tray would last when stretched nearly to limit to
accommodate laptop. Time will tell. GPS City in Calgary had
decent price & good service
