Although I bought the unit a while ago, I only put it
together and installed it very recently. Assembly was a
breeze and I'm not usually good with mechanical things.
Some of the diagrams were not as revealing as I would have
liked but, if you think about it, eventually the process
came together.
After it all came together, it is a solid and substantial
base for a laptop. Installation was very simple and I took
it one step further...went to my dealership who popped out
the seat bolts with a pneumatic wrench, I slipped the
customized mounting bracket into place and then they popped
the bolts back on. Easy peasy, and no fiddling around with
a manual wrench fighting to try to loosen or really tighten
up these important component bolts. So far, so good.
There is no possibility to raise or lower the table level.
Occasionally, it would be good to be able to raise it
higher. Oh, well.
I love the practicality of having a table top in the front
seat. I can use it for my computer, at the drive-in
restaurant for my burger and fries, to write notes manually
on a flat surface...you name it. Hey, whatever works!
