to fit and use it to hold a clip board or just drop my cell
phone on it they never move. I watched the video and knew
the flat top brackets were the way to go why it comes with

worth it. I installed this for my new 13" laptop and with
the pivot options this can place my computer as close or as
far as I would ever want it both while driving and while I
am using the computer. The platform is really sturdy and it
can definitely support some extra weight if necessary. I
found that that in addition to the laptop it works great for
clipboards that have interior storage. Now I have a writing
desk that too is easily adjustable to my needs. Overall
great purchase and this site had the best price. I would
order again from this company should I need anything else in
the future. Jared, February 3, 2012 I was skeptical that this would reach the drivers reach when
it was mounted to the passenger seat frame. Thankfully I
was wrong. This thing is incredibly robust, and just about
perfect I would say.
I'm driving a 2008 chevy van and using a 13" Macbook Air.
One recommendation: The side clamps that come with the RAM
tough tray really aren't that good for a laptop. At least
with mine, I could not even get close to closing the laptop
when not in use. (so it was always riding around open
around 20 degrees)
Spend the extra few bucks and get the other flush side
mounts and use them instead. Now my laptop closes perfectly
after every use.
