Mokuuna, September 6, 2012 We use the RAM Mount system in our own trucks but needed
something to work in customer vehicles (without drilling
holes). The Big Rig Stand works good for us.
Goose, June 15, 2011 I had to modify the bottom plate to fit under the seat.
Other than that it installed easy and serves it's purpose.
Bryan, November 29, 2010 This is an addendum to my previous review. I did that
review as soon as I installed it. Now that I've been living
with it for a while, I feel compelled to write some more.
Although it is a strong, sturdy mount, I find that it
totally gets in the way. Because it mounts to the rear of
the seat, it's just totally in the way when both driver and
passenger need to make their way into the sleeper. If it
mounted to the front of the seat, it would be much more out
of the way when not in use.
The third arm would be very helpful, too. However, I'm
undecided about whether I'll order that or just sell the
Bryan, November 12, 2010 The mount arrived in a timely manner. One piece was not
shipped/in stock but arrived within a couple of days.
If you're not very mechanical--and I'm NOT--this beast is
not eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeven close to as easy to assemble as they
make it look in the videos. Also, I was only able to use
ONE of the bolt holes to mount it under my seat the rest
were so far off that it wouldn't work. I hope that the
weight of the seat is enough to keep it in place.
It's quite hard to maneuver the computer into a usable
position with the RAM mount. I'm not sure if I'll get used
to that or not.
It may be a bit of an Olympic event to watch my wife get
from her seat into the sleeper.
