7 inch(?) pole that comes with the laptop mount kit was not
tall enough to clear my center console. I'm also using RAM's
ToughDock or whatever they call the ToughBook laptop mount.
The PD laptop mount kit leaves out an extension that comes
with the civilian model. I'd say if that extension were
included that for the civi Chargers the kit as-is is most
likely tall enough. But in the PD Charger if you have an
outfitted vehicle as I do then the longer pole is a must-have.
GPS City has been super helpful as well. They swapped out
the smaller pole in the kit I purchased with this 12 inch
model and just charged me the difference. I know plenty of
other distributors that would have made me keep the small
pole and pay full price for the 12 inch. Thumbs up! :)
