 		 This replaced an earlier and larger RAM rubber suction cup I originally purchased several years ago to hold a heavy Garmin GPS Map 176C -- it never held to the windshield for more than a few minutes, and I ended up suing a dash mount. This unit actually works, and has not had any problems keeping its suction, even with a heavy GPS. It would be more than enough for a Nuvi, Tom Tom, etc.

 		 Since I use this type of mount constantly for two weeks of every month, I have had to replace the suction cup part of my Garmin GPS296 mount every two to three years. Not bad since it is in the window of the helicopter 12 hours a day.

 		 Very well constructed and adaptible for diverse mounting applications. I am very pleased with their holding strength and will be purchasing additional units in the near future as my design needs dictate.

 		 I modified the actual use of the suction cups to hold one of my bikes to the ceiling since I'm limited in spacing at home. No need to make holes in the walls or ceilings.
