choose to use the vehicle cup mount option because I
already have a GPS window mount. I had some trouble
inserting the base into the rubber cup mount because it was
cold when I did it. I heated the rubber mount and with a
little prying, I was able to insert the base. The fins
were also rigid from the cold, which made it difficult to
puch the base and mount into the cup holder. I again
heated the fins and was able to push the mount into the cup
holder. Not that I want to get it out, but I couldn't if I
wanted to now. That is a good thing and the mount is
now "rock solid." It does not move, shake, or vibrate.
The flexible rod is NOT that flexible, but once configured,
it will not move. The mount DOES NOT rotate, so the iPhone
must be used in portrait mode. Great solid mount with some
limitations.
