It works well. I like the spring-loaded mount.

I have to admit, that this may be a perfect solution for
road bikers, but it's far from not suitable for
mountainbiking. The unit shakes so much on heavy terrain,
that you'd feel really sorry for the GPS device. Some
little piece even broke in my GPS mount on my first ride.
The display can't be read while the device vibrates.

Fishing my GPS out of my pocket while geocaching led to a
dangerous spill and an almost-separated shoulder. I placed
the order for this on the following day. Had no trouble
installing it and it has worked well. GPS pistons back and
forth over bumpy trails (I'm not a serious mountain biker -
no jumps) but seems to be no problem for this mount. Price
was reasonable, the staff answered my questions promptly and
accurately before purchase.

I have had one of these for a little less than a year and am
having to purchase another because it just has not held up
well. I geocache frequently and end up riding trails and
occasionally making my own way. The system to attach to the
handlebars failed first and I replaced with lacing wire.
Next half of the lugs that are used to connect the mount
itself to the base broke off. Today the roller that holds
the GPS to the mount disappeared, once previously I fell I
and I snapped it back in.
The Montana is not light and the mount is not designed will
enough to hold the GPS stable when riding over rough ground.
So why am I buying another? Because I have not been able to
find anything better and it is better than nothing
