remove the handle bar tape, brake levers and slide it up the
handle bar because it would not spread enough to simply
place it into position. Compare that to mounting bells and
lamps on your handle bar. When I removed it to put it onto
my new bike, I had cracked the mount. To secure it to my
new bike, I used zip ties. Turns out the handle bar mount
purchased from Garmin uses zip ties too. Peca, June 1, 2012 I put some velcro and installed the mount over it on my
motorcycle. Great fit for the GPS unit. Dan, June 3, 2009 Works great and I can see my GPS well when on the
bike. It could be a little easier to insert and
remove the GPS. Once when removing the GPS I
lost my grip on it and dropped it. It still
works fine, but has a scuff mark.
