The user must install the handlebar mount to the cradle, and
then mount to the bars. Everything looks simple, but be
prepared to spend some time getting it all right and mounted
securely. I bought this after a Garmin branded mount did not

bike around town the day I got it. The mount held my Garmin
Etrex Venture HC snug while geocaching around the town. I
gave it a 4 out of 5 rather than a 5 out of 5 because the
piece that goes around the bike handlebar was very
difficult to assemble and put on. I was also very fearful
of breaking that piece while putting it on. Thankfully, it
somehow managed to fit on the handlebars though. I still
needed to put two layers of cushion in between the mount
and handlebar so it would stay positioned. Nonetheless, I
am very happy I made this purchase and I hope it lasts a
