Motorcycle. After about 6-7 years the material began to
fail so as to not retain itself on the mounting. This is
not surprising given the sheer weight of my GPS. I have a
Lowrance Iway500. So I would say your product is excelent.. Lowell, May 23, 2011 My original mounting clip developed a weak spot and
occasionally lost its hold. This was a perfect replacement at
low cost. It was easy to install, although I echo Dave's
comment about retaining any spacer you might have on your
device to reuse. Dave, November 16, 2010 Purchased this as a replacement for the clip on the back of
my Lowrance iWay 500c. The original broke due to my
mounting arrangement not because of any defect in the RAM
mount.
If this is going to be used as a replacement part, the one
caution I would mention is to make sure you retain the
spacer, if any, between the clip and the item to which it is
fastened.
In shopping for this Express Mounts had the best price for
the item, lowest shipping charges, and quick delivery. 0ccam, February 7, 2010 I have four of these (I might have bought some in a set, but
some were separate). I have two suction cup mounts and each
has one of these, plus my wife's bike has one and her car
cup holder mount has one.
I switch devices around on the suction cup mounts, so any
two of my iPhone, iPod, or GPS can be used. I suppose I
could attach any of those to the wife's bike or her car too.
