If you are looking for a plate to attach your RAM Mount to, this is the best I have found.

It will not hold to a smooth verical surface. I scrupulously cleaned the surface with 90% alcohol & followed the directions to the letter. It looks flimsy & cheap & unfortunately it is.

Plate has sufficient surface area for RAM suction cups and
worked well for me but with 3M Dual-Lock instead of supplied
adhesive, which is pretty good, but not up to working on
curved surfaces. In fairness, the plate is NOT designed for
curved surfaces, but can be adapted with some finagling.

Did not stick to the dash, even after cleaning with rubbing
alcohol. Bought a different disk from Radio Shack that has
stuck solid.
