I use this particular GPS for geocaching. The turn-by-turn feature of the GPS leads me right where I want to go. But, it's not a good idea to use the device handheld for this purpose while you are driving. This mount solves all of my problems. I mount it and follow the directions while driving, and can easily disconnect the GPS for handheld use when I arrive at the geocache site.

It was a fast delivery, all instructions with it, simple set up but effective, doesn't rattle even when going over the roughest country!!

I bought two of these, one for my van, and one for my motorcycle. I switch the gps 62s in and out a lot. Every time I leave the vehicle, I snap gps out, then in again. Same with the Harley. In, then at a restaurant or gas stop... out. Well, I'm really not happy with screwing around with the power cable, so much so, that I took a pair of side cutters and butchered the plastic to make room for the usb power cable on the back, and I also cut the right hand side upper ear almost off. Now is much easier to slip the gps in and out. But looks the craps. Hopefully they will redesign this unit to do what I did, but make it prettier, then I would purchase the upgrade. If you mount your gps in and leave it there, fine, but if you leave your gps unattended and worry about theft, you will have to butcher your mount up like I did. Motorcycle handlebar is solid, but the windshield suction cup will fall off in about a week, so be careful, just clean everything and use some water, then re snap the suction lever weekly.
