I was concerned that the slight curvature and flimsiness of the windscreen in a C182 would affect the holding power, but it does not -- like I said it REALLY SUCKS! Used in 15-50 degree temperatures KLR 650 RYDER, February 11, 2013 This suction mount base sticks to the windshield very tightly. It will occasionally come loose in high heat situations. I find if I take it off of the windshield every once in awhile and clean both the windshield and mounting base it reduces the chance of failure. I have 3 of these bases and would buy another if the need arises. Juengst, December 7, 2012 Purchased to hold camera on Honda Gold Wing and it held to
the windshield for about 300mi before nightfall. It fell
off shortly after dark.
This is the only failure I've had of a RAM product.
