Recent reviews for this item: BBCInc, November 23, 2010 I place this on the left side of the dash with the antenna
against the windshield to add another point of stability.
This positioning lessens unit vibration while going over
less than smooth road sections. I also like this because the
unit is more in the line of sight while driving. Changed the
middle clamping section out for a shorter one, again to
lessen vibration.
BTW, the non-skid base is made by Sianbag and is not
available separately from GPS City AFAICT. Dennis, February 9, 2009 This mounting system really works well.
