I live in Phoenix where the temperatures regularly go well over 90 degrees. The mount dislodges from the dash when this happens. For this reason I had to change over to one of the friction bean bag mounts. If you live in a hot climate I can not recommend this mounting system.

This unit fits the GPS well and seems sturdy. I also like
that the base contours to fit any curves in the dash.
My only negative comment is that the GPS has to be put into
mount before plugging in making it a little difficult to
feel around the backside while trying to get the plug in. If
you leave your GPS in the mount this is not an issue. I
remove my GPS on a regular basis so I modified the plug hole
by cutting it into a slot that goes down to the bottom of
the mount which allows me to plug in the unit first and then
I can put the plugged in unit onto the mount with out
fumbling around .
This is a modification I would like to see the manufacture
make.
