are gas plants, compressor stn's, Battery Sites. We had to
bug the operators to get directions, they would give us
directions to the best of their knowledge over the phone.
But poof with a little research on the internet we found the
best toy at a great price, plus Rocanda gives a very
detailed instructions included with the software which makes
it very easy to use. I had it for 1 month and it paid for it
self many times over because of the time saved from not
knowing where the locations are. From going to around 35
locations, it found everyone with one incident where it
wanted me to go on a very narrow filled in cutline. But all
you do is ignore it and it will find another entry location.
I hope this helps in their decision. Thanks Todd, July 28, 2011 I purchased this software with the understanding it would
enable me to easily locate areas in Alberta by LSD. The
number of steps one has to go through is nuts selecting
and unselecting map data, number of hoops required to jump
through in menu selections, and the painstaking process of
entering the LSD (requiring me to flip back and forth
between numbers and symbols in order to put the dashes
between LSD, Sec. Twp & Rge, (2-24-48-12W4). Once this
information was entered, the tracking was offsetting the
actual mapped roads, and yes I only selected one map
dataset. The route line was ~50m offset from the base road
information. Since this was sold to me as being Oilfield
friendly, I am very disappointed in its performance and
use. It would be easier to enter Latt. Long.into my gps
using the information given on the margins of basic maps. Andrey, June 2, 2011 It seems to work great for me. I've had no issues with finding
locations I've entered. It does sometimes want to lead me to
roads I'd rather not use, and probably illegal as well, with a
tractor and tridem trailer, but a little common sense goes a
long way to getting to the correct location so far 9 out of
ten times it got me to where I needed to go! Sandy, October 8, 2010 Product easy to use typing in LSD sites makes my job
easier not having to guess where to turn and which road to
follow.
