Best value for replacing a DCS-20 antenna.
Life of the antennae depends on the conditions
that you are working your dog under.
Garmin also has a more expensive lower profile
antenna but on a larger dog they tend to break
more easily when the dog pass under a hard surfce.
While this rubber coated one tends to shred tear
and break as Danny mentioned, i find it lasts
longer than the more brittle and expensive low-
profile unit.

For using it for a hound dog this Antenna is crap. The soft rubber coating over the metal antenna easily tears on branches when the hound runs after game. In two days i had two antennas ruined, one is bare with only the coil wire remaining and the other is gone only leaving the screw that connects to the DC-20...
the big question is how often am i going to need to replace antennas?
Now here i am about to order some....
