Purchase, Delivery & Package swiftly received. Set up was easy. Loaded it with XM ann. Package. Did not buy Weather @ $90 or Travel Advisory @ $50. Disapointed in volume and no visability on the bike in the Sun. Had to purchase a "Hoodie" via e-bay as Garmin did'nt think this out? Wonder who the biker advisor was? Have Bluetoothed my 4S I-Phone with Wireless Bluetooth (Uclear)Helmet Accessory.

I bought a 665 for my trip from ME back to AZ. The factory refurbished 665 looked as if it had never been used. Unfortunately, after installing it, after a few days it would randomly speed up the voice prompts--sounded like it was in fast forward. I called garmin tech support which had me download updated software to fix this problem. The unit worked for a few days and then did the same thing. During my next call with tech support they had me do a hard rest that wiped out everything I had programmed into it, erase all of the voices, download the same software I had a few days before and then download just the English voices. The unit work fine for a few days. I was headed down an interstate head back home to AZ when the voice prompt went into fast forward. I rest the unit while going down the interstate and it was normal. While listening to the MP3 player I heard a song I don't remember hearing before. It was rather "space" like, not one of the blues songs I had entered? After around 10 minutes of this strange recording I went into the play list to skip this song. I discovered it was one of my favorites!! I shut the 665 off and then turned it on, there wasn't any audio out?!! I played around with the volume controls and the audio came back. Running down the interstate the voice prompts speed up again. I was only 90 miles from where I have been staying in Maine, so I went back. I called garmin and was informed it would take them two weeks after they received my unit to replace it. When i explained I bought it for my trip and that i turned around because it wasn't working properly they queried if the GPS part was working which it is. So, I can either send it to them now and have the replacement sent to AZ or use the unit and send it to them when I'm back home in AZ!? I really do not want to wait until the first week of Dec to leave Maine headed back home!! For some reason, I do not want to be here when it starts snowing again.

I'm an avid motorcycle rider. This seemed like the perfect addition to my bikes. It was really expensive and I struggle to see the worth of the additional price compared to the nuvi, but I have used it in the rain without any problems. XM radio is nice but the sound quality is poor compared to MP3's that you can put on the expanded memory cards. I frequently get messages from XM weather that "roads nearby maybe snowy" even though its 80+ degrees out. Traffic alerts seem to be pretty accurate, although not perfect either. I took the Zumo on a 3500+ mile 10 day trip from Utah, up through Canada, and then down the west coast with 2 other friends last month. We all had Sena SMH10 bluetooth headsets. These headsets intercom between each other and I also had mine connected to the Zumo. The first day was very frustrating to talk to my friends until I figured out how everything works. It can take 10-15 seconds once I push the headset intercom button to disconnect from the zumo and connect to one of the other headsets. If I have music playing, it will disconnect from the intercom after about 5 seconds and go back to the music (in mono mode). I have to stop the music and then the intercom will reconnect (10 seconds again) and I can have a conversation until the Zumo has an instruction to say or I touch the Zumo and it has to play a keystroke beep. Frustrating indeed. My friends only had their phones paired to their headsets and they had no problems talking. I've read others reviews about locking up and rebooting and I will say that has only happened to me once. I was going a different direction and Lisa(The UK voice) was telling me she was recalculating and finally the Zumo just rebooted. I figured Lisa (like any other woman) was just getting mad at me for not listening to her and turned herself off. The Zumo came back up and I had no further problems with that. Garmin must have mostly fixed the bugs for this finally. Great maps, nice display, usable with gloves on. Feels like a sturdy well built device and mounts well to the bike. I purchased a Techmount for my bikes and have a Zumo mount for both of them. I also use the suction cup mount for my car. Bluetooth works well if you're not using intercoms. You can hear music from the extended memory card or XM (if you pay for it). Caller ID from your phone (if paired) will show up on the Zumo display with access to your phone book. Still a little buggy on making calls though. Sometimes it works really well and sometimes I've been told I'm talking through a Kazoo. Sena is releasing a firmware update for the SMH10's sometime this month supposedly to fix some of these issues. I'm hopeful that it will make a difference. Only time will tell. I don't think this is completely a Sena issue though. It is a solid unit and I've used it for about 4600 miles so far. Not having to worry about rain is good and using it with gloves works well too. Maps are clear and lane assist and the speed limit feature are surprisingly accurate. I do like the tank fuel indicator too. If they could get the bluetooth working better I would completely love this thing. I'm still hoping.

I have been disapppointed with the lack of quality control with the Zumo 665. I had a problem with the unit and a updated download appeared to fix it, I thought, but the unit shuts down for whatever reason when you really need it. Too bad a biker could not assist in designing a biker gps as the Zumo would be a lot easier to use.
