XANTREX MARKETS
Xantrex operates in the higher growth segments of the advanced power electronics market, with well-established products and platforms sold to a diverse customer base in the Distributed and Mobile power markets.
Renewable Power
We design, manufacture and market advanced power electronics that convert power from renewable, advanced power and storage solutions - such as solar, wind, fuel cells, microturbines, batteries, and flywheels - into electrical power that can be used as a primary or backup power source for homes and small businesses to industrial and utility applications. Our distributed power products focus on utility grid-connected or grid-independent power systems that are one megawatt or less in size.
Our renewable energy systems offer environmental benefits of using green power and also enable the sale of any excess power generated back to the utility grid. Xantrex products allow customers to increase energy efficiency and freedom, while making a positive impact on the environment.
Mobile Power
We design, manufacture and market a wide range of AC and DC products and system solutions that are installed or built into boats, recreational vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, utility and emergency vehicles and automobiles. Our inverters and inverter/chargers produce high quality electricity to run home, office, electrical appliances and other electronic devices while away from utility power, and our instrumentation solutions manage and monitor power consumption and usage. Xantrex battery chargers convert AC power to DC power and accurately charge batteries so they will operate at peak performance.
We also produce portable power systems that are either combined with a built-in battery source in a compact unit, or are designed to work with an external power source such as a car battery or another DC power source. Our products provide electricity that can be used anywhere - at home, at a worksite or campsite, on a boat or in a vehicle.

Xantrex introduces new generation battery chargers for the global marine and commercial vehicle markets
April 30, 2009 Vancouver, BC (Link)
Industry leader Xantrex Technology Inc., a subsidiary of Schneider Electric, announces the launch of an innovative new line of battery chargers designed for the worldwide mobile power market that is ideally suited for boats and commercial vehicles. The Xantrex TRUECHARGE2 Battery Charger offers maximum power in a compact size, resulting in the highest power density for its application in the market.
The Xantrex TRUECHARGE2 Battery Charger is an affordable full-feature charger line that gives users the ability to charge vehicle batteries using less alternating current (AC) input power than traditional chargers, with very low electrical interference. This frees up more usable electricity for other power needs, while reducing the likelihood of tripping breakers. The Xantrex TRUECHARGE2 also has worldwide auto-ranging AC input, so the product can be used internationally. The TRUECHARGE2 can be mounted in multiple locations because of its compact size, unique drip-proof design, and certified ignition protection.
The TRUECHARGE2 represents the evolution of the Xantrex Truecharge product line, which has been a popular choice for many years. Building upon the success of the original Truecharge Series, the new TRUECHARGE2 is designed for global use and will expand the product offering. The TRUECHARGE2 is being launched in 20-amp and 40-amp 12-volt models, with more models scheduled for future release, including 12-volt and 24-volt models with a variety of amperage ranges.
"We are committed to serving international markets with innovative new products that provide superior value to our customers,? said Richard Gaudet, Xantrex Director of Product Management. "These chargers are designed to suit the needs of original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers, offering full features at an affordable price."
